The LTO-2 tape was released in March 2003. TDK LTO-2 tape has double capacity and transfer speed as compared to lto-1 backup tape. This version of TDK LTO-2 tape D2405-LTO2AX switched to PRML Partial Response Maximum Likelihood encoding. TDK lto-2 tape has 200 GB native capacity and compressed rate of 400 GB. It has a transfer rate of up to 40 MB/s.

LTO2 Tapes, has boost data storage capability 200GB native and 400GB during compressed data. I think HP LTO2 Tapes are too famous in backup tapes brand.
